About the Cats

The cats include both kittens and adult cats. Those who require medical attention are receiving appropriate veterinary care.

Because the law enforcement investigation is ongoing, we cannot provide information about individual cats or confirm whether a particular cat is among those received in this case. We will share additional information when permitted to do so by law enforcement.

Hundreds of Cats Need Our Help

Friends of Upland Animal Shelter is caring for several hundred cats following their removal from two commercial units on West 11th Street in Upland by law enforcement on September 21.

These cats are now safe and receiving the food, shelter, medical attention, and care they need. However, because they are part of an ongoing law enforcement investigation, they cannot currently be placed in foster homes or made available for adoption. We do not know when that may change.

A Significant, Ongoing Commitment

Caring for hundreds of additional cats requires extraordinary resources, including food, litter, veterinary care, medications, staffing, and volunteer support. And because we don't know how long these cats will remain in our care, the costs will continue for as long as they need us.

We don't know how long these cats will need our care. We do know that they need us today.
